Glaoui Moroccan Rug

The Glaoui rug is a distinctive Moroccan Berber rug inspired by the High Atlas region, especially the historic area around Telouet. It is known for combining several weaving techniques in one piece: flat-weave sections, textured pile, and embroidered details. This mix gives the rug depth, movement, and a handcrafted character that feels richer than a simple flat-weave.

Its designs often feature Amazigh geometric symbols, diamonds, stepped shapes, protective motifs, and rhythmic borders. The result is a rug with strong visual presence, rooted in mountain craftsmanship and the old caravan routes linking the Sahara, the Atlas, and Marrakech.
